Glottkin Base test

So, I am trying to do a slimy base for my Glottkin/GUO that I bought, I am trying out the DMsCraft hotglue method for the liquid. As I said, this is just the tester.

Mega Battle

So, Last weekend [Easter weekend to be specific] I participated in a mega battle at one of the FLGS in the city. And I took some pictures of the festivities. The game was 15000 points per side, Tyranids, Tyranids, Chaos VS Tau, Space Marines, Space Marines with Knights.

The Game begins

After turn 1

Also after turn 1

After Turn 2

Turn 3 I believe

Turn 3 again

Long absence

So, I have lapsed in posting regularly. I am sorry for that. However, in my defence it has been due to the BFG:Armada beta. Once I have a headset, and some of the major bugs are squished[there are only a couple] I will probably post my own gameplay video.

So again, for the couple of people who read my blog, sorry.

Summoner build

So, as I previously stated, I am documenting the building of the Gaunt Summoner. Here we go.

Glued disc.
So, I started by gluing the disc parts together, since the two sections don't really obscure any parts by themselves.

Blue, so much blue.
So I did most of the blue, both Ultrasmurf Blue, and Enchanted blue, while it was on the sprue.

The Disc on the base.
At this point, I had just finished the base, I used Magenta Ink on some of the fleshy bits and Leadbelcher on the blades. The green on the bottom part is Dark Angels green, with Dark Green Ink, and Desert Yellow as a dry brush.

Another image from a different angle.
This one shows the teeth on the disc a little better; I did them in using P3s Menolith White Base. It is the closest thing I could find to the old Bleached Bone.

Some finalized images.
I skipped some steps since I was in the zone while painting.

More angles.

Even more angles.

Still more angles.

Last image.

So that is that. I have finished the build. As previously mentioned, I will mostly be using this as a Sorcerer of Tzeentch on a Disc.

The Gaunt Summoner [AKA My new Sorcerer of Tzeentch on a disc.]

So, like my Dark Angels scouts, I am going to [mostly] document the build for this guy. Except, I think I am going to do it in one post, rather than across two. I have started to do a little gluing at this point, though it is limited to a couple parts of his disc, as I want to do most of the painting first on this model. I want him to look suitably epic. Also like the scouts, he may get his own fluff post. I am not too sure yet, I will decide while I build him.

But for now:

New toy to put together

I think I will run this guy as a sorc on a disc.
